FOUNDING PARTNERS

Lakeview Museum of Arts and Sciences
Founded in 1965, Lakeview Museum featured rotating gallery exhibitions of fine and folk art collections, a planetarium, and educational programming. Lakeview closed its doors in 2012 to become part of the Peoria Riverfront Museum.

Peoria Historical Society
Incorporated in 1934, the Peoria Historical Society (PHS) preserves the unique history of the Central Illinois River Valley.

Illinois High School Association
Founded in 1900, the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) administers interscholastic and athletic activities for 760 high schools.

African American Hall of Fame Museum
Founded in 1987, the African American Hall of Fame Museum (AAHFM) maintains collections and exhibitions of African American life and culture.

Peoria Regional Museum Society
Chartered in 1952, the Peoria Regional Museum Society (PRMS) promoted appreciation of the region's history, industry, science, and art. December 31, 2013, PRMS merged with the Peoria Historical Society, which will continue the PRMS mission.

The Nature Conservancy
Founded in 1951, the Nature Conservancy is a nonprofit organization devoted to protecting ecologically important lands and waters.

Heartland Foundation
Founded in 1986, the Heartland Foundation preserves and celebrates the heritage of square dancing.

Caterpillar Inc.
Founded in 1925, Caterpillar Inc. is the world's leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. The interactive and engaging Caterpillar Visitors Center is our next door neighbor and was built concurrently with our Museum.
